Hello, I am LeAnn Buttrom, though my students know me as Ms. B. Teaching and learning have always been my passion. I once heard that you know you have chosen the right career when your work never feels like work, and that sentiment perfectly reflects my experience as an educator. I take great joy in teaching and feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of young children each day.

I am a graduate of Perry High School, where I played Varsity Softball, served as the FFA Reporter, and competed on the Meat Judging Team. I earned my degree in Early Childhood Education from Macon State College and later obtained a Master's degree in Teaching and Learning from Georgia Southwestern State University.

In recognition of my dedication to education, I was honored to receive the Teacher of the Year Award for 2019-2020. In addition to my classroom responsibilities, I proudly sponsor Junior Master Gardener Club, Book Club, and Ag Day at SHES, providing students with opportunities to learn, grow, and engage with their community beyond the classroom.

I look forward to continuing to inspire a love of learning and helping every child reach their full potential.
