I graduated from Georgia Southern University with my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education. My Master's degree, Early Childhood as well, came through Georgia College and State University. I also studied Educational Leadership at NOVA Southeastern University.

As a graduate of Houston County Schools, I began my career at Lindsey Elementary and Parkwood Elementary as a Reading Recovery Teacher. I then moved to Tampa. FL where I spent the bulk of my career as a K-5  Reading Coach, guiding teachers in best practices in reading instruction. I moved back home to Warner Robins with my family and began working at SHES. My husband and I have a daughter who is a competitive dancer.
