Mrs. Cheryl Combs was a student of Shirley Hills Elementary. She also attended Northside Middle and High Schools. Mrs. Combs graduated from Mercer University with a major in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Psychology, earned a Masters from Georgia College and State University, and began teaching at Shirley Hills in 1999. She has taught first graders for 24 years; gifted first graders for 9 years. Mrs. Combs has been married to Mike Combs for 34 years, and they have a son, Steven and a daughter, Bre, as well as 2 granddaughters, Noah and Avery.
